Hypertext

Hypertext has been a long time in the works – perhaps about a whole bunch of years soaking in that atmosphere redolent of coffee, cigarettes, quick-filling and sumptuous South Indian breakfasts one finds at the typical Bangalore darshini. And yes, the lingering and ever hopeful street dog (in the case of Komala Refreshments – a lovely dark-eyed brown cow who pops in daily for a breakfast dosa) who gets crumbs, pats, biscuits, sometimes kicks from people eating there. There’s friends, familiar strangers, faraway communicators, the slow infusion of the space-age into a slow cup of coffee.

Update: It’s HERE! (Thanks Arjun!!) Revelling in these awesome halftone dots I am.

  1. At the risk of sounding like a creepy fan-girl: You were missed at the Comic Con today! Picked up a copy of Motherland hoping to get it signed by you. Also bummer that Hypertext wasn’t available outside of a Forbes Life. 😦 *deep sigh*. Some other time, I suppose.
